These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the MiraLearn mobile app and website (together, the “Service”) operated by MiraLearn (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Account

  • You need to register with a valid email address and verify it to use the learning features.
  • Your registration details must be accurate. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account.
  • If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian before using the Service.
  • Accounts are personal; do not lend, share or transfer your account.

2. Learning content

  • The Service offers online Japanese courses.
  • Lessons, videos, materials, questions and all other content belong to MiraLearn or its licensors. You may use them for personal study only; copying, recording, unauthorized downloading, distribution or resale is not allowed.

3. Your content

  • You can post reviews, comments, questions, notes, essays, photos and audio/video recordings. You keep the rights to your content and allow MiraLearn to store, display and process it to operate the Service (for example, grading assignments or showing reviews).
  • Content must not be unlawful, infringe others’ rights, or be abusive, harassing, sexual, violent, advertising or spam.
  • Reviews and comments are moderated. You can report inappropriate content in the app. We may hide or remove violating content without notice.

4. Programs

Some programs (partner, recruitment, events, etc.) have their own conditions shown on the program page. When you register or submit a report, you confirm the information is accurate and, if you provide information about someone else (such as a referred candidate), that you have their consent. MiraLearn decides whether to approve registrations.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Unauthorized access, interfering with or disrupting the systems, or scraping data with automated tools.
  • Cheating in tests, impersonating others, or creating multiple accounts to abuse the Service.
  • Any unlawful act or act that harms MiraLearn or other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account, or by emailing info@miralearn.jp. After deletion you can no longer sign in or access your courses. How we handle data on deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes and interruptions

We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service (for example, for maintenance or outages). We will announce important changes in the app or by email where possible.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee any particular learning or exam result. To the extent permitted by law, MiraLearn is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the Service, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version takes effect when published on the Service, and we will give advance notice of important changes. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes relating to the Service. If translations differ, the Japanese version prevails.
